I Get Braces In 13 days. Do they hurt?

Do having braces on hurt? my teeth are really messed up.

not when you first get them on but then they do, and then you get use to the pain

im not going to lie.. yes they hurt.. wen i first got mine on i couldnt eat for like 5 days... but after that they dont hurt the inside of ur mouth might get a lil cut up but wax can fix that.. it also hurts a lil wen you go in and change the wires and colors of ur rubber bbands........ but only for like a day.... but ur gonna love picking out wat colors u want... thats wat i miss most

Also products like Oragel can really help with any pain you do have. you put it on and it numbs your teeth and mouth...be careful though, makes if really easy to bite your cheek or tongue.

they hurt the first week...and some times after tightning.

oh my god! people are so stupid. it WILL NOT hurt like h**l...for me it didnt even hurt after i got them on. i mean, they felt sensitive but i didnt feel pain...and i didnt feel the sensitivity until like a day or two later.

after the regular ortho appts youll have, sometimes youll feel discomfort...just remember to take your painkillers and only eat soft/liquid foods.

sometimes after appts i remmeber i didnt even feel any discomfort whatsoever!!

soon as you get your braces tightened or worked on, my ortho told me you can have something cold cause that will help preventing the pain..

so that would make for a very good excuse to go buy an icecream!!

anyways, i know youre scared right now but believe me, youll live through it, youll do great, and youll have perfect teeth!!!

actually....my friends said it was going to hurt so bad!!!!!!!!!!!.....during the proceeder it doesnt hurt at all.....but it does ache after the proceeder is done....

all you have to do is listen to what the doctor says....like he/she have to put this gooey stuff on your teeth....and the only thing you have to do is not lickyour teeth with your tongue(cuz your mouth is going to get very dry so your going to want l**k your teeth because of the dryness)....and if you do like your teeth they have to start the proceeder all over again

its just a very annoying proceeder thats all....and it hurts a little after...

They dont hurt going on, but your mouth will be sore for the forst week or so.  Be sure to take some IB Profen before you go.  After the first few weeks, you will be use to them, but when you go to get them tightened, your mouth will be sore again.  It will all be worth it in the end and you will have a beautiful smile.  Good luck!

Your teeth will be sore for a couple of days. But otherwise you will be fine. I'm not going to lie, the soreness does hurt, but after a while the pain will go away. Look at it this way, no pain, no gain!!!!!
