I Got A Cut From Hitting Someone in the Tooth, bout 1/2 inches?

I got the cut on my index finger and its as long as ur front tooth, and my finger gets sore if i bend it, i just want to no if i need stitches and if it is infected, it is wrapped in a bandage rite now and is over my finger, i cant see if it is swollen. when i bend my finger it hurts the middle knuckle on my index finger, it could be jammed but I'm not sure, can sum1 tell me if stitches are necessary. the cut is on my left index finger and on my middle knuckle. thanks in advance

Change your bandage every day, and use antibiotic ointment. If there is swelling, redness and pain, you could have an infection. Mouths are full of germs. But, you won't need stitches if you keep your finger immobilized, as with a splint.
