  1. For one, I hope that by "disinfect" you mean that you took your hypodermic needle to a tattoo parlor to be autoclaved or you, by chance, have such a piece of equipment at home. If not, you just ran up your risk of infection. Also, I hope that the jewelry you used came from a reputable body jewelry store in a sterile package.

Secondly, I've never felt pops when my ears were pierced. I have no idea if this is normal.

Third, Yes it will still hurt for a while. Take some ibuprofin and ice it. This will minimize pain and swelling. Also do saline soaks twice a day for 5-10 minutes. You can make saline solution at home by mixing 1/8-1/4 of a teaspoon of sea salt to 8oz of warm water.

I wouldn't use hydrogen peroxide or alcohol. Both are very harsh to the piercing and can cause irritation. Irritation prolongs healing and increases the risk of infection.

  2. yea thats normal

    totally normal to bleed

yea itll probably hurt for a couple of days

disinfect it twice a day once in the morning and then at night with salen sloution (salt water) and just be careful not to rip it out or anything

  3. I have each of my ears pierced 3 times... and it took several tries to get the first holes to stay, uninfected.

I've never done it myself, so I can't promise you anything, but they all hurt that night, and were a little tender for the next few days.

Make sure you leave the earring in, so it doesn't close up, and twist it periodically. Clean the piercing with piercing solution, if you have it, or if not, a bottle of hydrogen peroxide from your grocery store's first aid aisle (for about $.80) should last you a good while.

  4. You don't have a problem yet. this sounds painful but put rubbing alcohol on a q-tip and rub it on the piercing.

  5. the pops were the needle going through the cartridge and its normal to bleed. if it turns crusty it could be infected i would then go see a dr. but if not just keep cleaning it with alcohol so it don't get infected good luck.
