I Gust got a used laptop and it has a CD\DVD drive but i will not play DVDs. ?

Its a Dell Latitude D 600 and i went to the Dell support center and i was going to download the drive again but i could not find it. the name of the device is Hl-DT-ST-DVD/CD-ROM GDR8082N. when i try to play a DVD on Media Player11, It say that Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer. PLEASE HELP...

  1. You need to go to the windows website and downlaod the codec for it.
