  1. It's safe. It's not 100% effective (nothing non-permanent is). See your doctor, or nurse at the local clinic, if you have concerns.  


  2. I believe it is safe.  Effective well they say 100% not but it has worked for me and I really enjoy having it cause I don't have to worry about getting pregnant
