I HATE my dad, I need help...???

Question

I would be better off with no dad, he is no help to me, treats me like c**p and I have nothing in common with him. He is an alcoholic and says all this gross stuff when hes drunk(every night). He swears, and is very racist and has a bad temper when he drinks. He is really paranoid(he has knives,swords, even an axe). He called me up when I was out the other night and hes told me to shut of my phone cuz they can track me. He watches Sifi and all that weird **** and action movies, the more violence the better for him. What can I do?

well when he gets drunk and he picks up a wepon and acts like he is going to kill some one callthe cops

u don't hate ur dad u just don't approve of his way of living his life which is understandable.. there is no communication between u both for different reasons.. he is an alcoholic and he needs help this u cant do it alone.. try to get him some counseling .. let him know u care about him but u just don't agree the way he is hurting himself and the people around him.. be strong.. he needs u.. he doesn't needs u to walk away .. like most people has done.. good luck

Wow that's a tough one,

My ex husband is an alcoholic and I have 3 sons who have had to deal with that kind of bs.

I have always told them- "Dont hate him, Hate what he does"

Hate is such a strong word, and he is your dad.

You can talk to a counselor at school and let them know what you are dealing with or an adult family member or friend to help you.

Please if he does become violent, you ned to call the police and protect yourself.

God, I know where you're coming from, I've got a mom who I hate. (pls answer my question on her by the way)

the same advice I'm trying to work with i'll give to you: try to move out, whether it be with a family member, boyfriend/girlfriend, a freakin homeless dude but get away!!

or maybe you can call the cops and they'll put him in rehab.

Even though he's an alcoholic does not make him a bad person - he's sick and needs help - it's a horrible thing to say that you "hate" your father - when you grow up you may want to think of ways to get him some help - go to meetings with him - if he had you to give him support and friendship be may be more apt to get help....

You didn't mention having a mom.  Is your mom still living?  Does she live with you?  Your dad needs help and the only way he will get it is to report him to the authorities by dialing 911 or the child abuse center.   Does he ever hit you?

Even if he doesn't hit you, he is still using child abuse because of his language and all the weapons he has in the house while drinking and for treating you like c**p.  No child should live under those conditions.

You only have one life to live, and only one child hood, this is not a dress rehearsal, this is it.   So far your child hood hasn't been very good.  So what part is left, you need to salvage it and make it good.  

By watching your father, I know you will never drink alcoholic beverages.  At least I hope not.

Alcohol just ruins your life and the life of every one around you.

I didnt see mine but a handfull of times, and not untill I was 8.

The have one purpose in life. To teach us what NOT to do to our children.

Do you have a friend with a good father?

Do what I did, and the night your father starts leaving bruises on you, call your friend and beg him an his father to pick you up.And while your at it call the law.

Hopefully they both show up at the same time.

Tell the police what he did show them the bruise and ask to go w/ your friend and his father.

My friends father wanted to adopt me, but my mother said "no".

But yeah us b******s learn a fu cked up lesson. How not to be.
