I HATE running?

i have a gym at my school but i am not motivated to go to it! how can i get motivated to get in shape for the summer? i hate running and i dont know what i can do instead. please help!

  1. I bet if you get someone to go with you you'll enjoy it a lot more. I honestly get bored and unmotivated if my husband's not with me when I go. Since he's been running with me, I've gone from struggling to run 2 miles (just waiting for it to be over) to running 12 miles- and we're training for a marathon.


  2. Well trust me on this i joined the track team and it was horrible !!! but after a week i got used to running laps non-stop just remember to bring water and jog when you cant run its better then walking :) or go to the gym

  3. Try swimming!!!!

    YOu dont get all hot and sweaty cos your in the water.

    Try playing a game that you enjoy doing!! It might take you off the fact that you are running. e.g. basketball.

  4. you don't have to run just go get on a tread runner thing and walk, walk fast, slow or in the middle either way it's helping your body just keep moving in a hour you will be so proud of your self....ps don't go with a buddy they just slow you down once you see them getting tired you will to..go solo and take an ipod with dance music on it..

  5. Try weight lifting.

  6. you hate it cause its not fun. Make it fun. run trails explore woods in your area, break it up with different paces.

    Walking at a moderate pace for 30-60 minutes burns stored fat and can build muscle to speed up your metabolism.
