I reallllllllllllllly hate that feeling you get when you're dropping on a roller coaster (I guess the weightless feeling?) but I wanted to go to Six Flags New Jersey this summer and my boyfriend wants me to go on that Kingda Ka with him so bad. I was just wondering if there is ANYTHING AT ALL that could help me...I mean ANYTHING! I get nervous and shake because I HHHHHHHHATE that feeling! I know there are other people that don't like it. Does anyone know ANYTHING I could do?????

  1. tell your bf that you really don't want to go on that ride. If he loves you he will not force you to do something that you do not want to do. He should understand.

A man that loves a woman will not want to hurt her in anyway.

  2. i shut my eyes and hold my breath. however, when i get down, i get a headache cuz the pressure is going to my head and im holding my breath. so i wouldnt suggest holding my breath. i also press my feet on the floor when its going down. it really helps for real.i shut my eyes and press on the floor

  3. omfg i wanna go on that ride so bad D:

    maybe one day though

    lol

and maybe you should have a few drinks? xD

i've rode top thrill dragster which is basiclly the same thing and its not boring

yea you wait in line for a while but its soo worth it :]

  4. i have a - tickle down my neck, when that happenes - hold on tight to something!! - just tell yourself - it will be over soon!!

  5. i used to be afraid of rollercoasters but i have away to stop that feeling. when its slowly coming up you get that nervous feeling and so scary but what i did is i let all out like scream or say to my self out loud that "this is going to be the best thing ever!!"

and before i used to resist the pull of the coaster on turns and drops but instead of hanging on the bar and forcing yourself to stay still i just go with the flow and let it all out

  6. well, theres really nothing you can do, because uhh thats kind of the whole point of roller coasters.

i geuss just suck it up if its really that important for your boyfriend...

and by the way, i live in new jersey and i go to six flags often and king da ka SUCKS.

you wait in line for two or three hours for 13 seconds of something thats too quick for you too even feel! go on el toro though, its so funn! and the lines are a lot shorter at night, so make sure you stay late (:

    have fun!

    best of luck!

  7. get your legs really stiff and push your back against the seat. it really works!

  8. Valium?

  9. when the coaster is about to go down a drop, try closing your eyes and lifting your legs up

  10. ME TOO

i hate that feeling - but i am still obsessed with roller coasters!

to feel better, hold your breath while you go down, then you wont feel a drop in pressure in your stomach

    =D

  11. When I went on Kingda Ka I didn't get that feeling of dropping! I don't know why? But I also HATE getting that feeling in my stomach when you fall!!

  12. take a huge bag just in case if u barf

  13. That feeling partly comes from not being able to see in front of you....you can try sitting in the front car of the roller coaster.  That usually helps tremendously.  I know many people think that the first car would be much scarier, but its not.  When you can see 100% what's going on and when the drop are going to happen, it really helps minimize that "stomach in the throat" feeling. Plus the front cars are not as jerky and do not whip around as much because they have the task of pulling the rest of the cars.

  14. squeeze his hand and hang on tight.

  15. I HATE that feeling too! It feels like I'm going to fall out of the rollercoaster! I hold tight to the bar and plant my feet as hard as I can to the floor. That helps, a little. It really is just a substitue. When I come to that part and get nervous, I just suck the feeling in.
