I HAVE A DAKOTA SPORT 4X4 THE TRANS WANTS TO GRIND WHEN PUT INTO REVERSE ONLY,DRIVE SEEMS TO BE FINE.

COULD THIS BE CAUSED BY SOMETHING OTHER THAN WORN BANDS.I'VE NEVER HAD AN AUTOMATIC THAT REVERSE WENT OUT FIRST.WHAT ELSE COULD BE CAUSING THIS?

if the car is a manual we found with our car if you pump the clutch it goes strat in if its an auto i wouldnt have a clue hope this helps!!
