  1. Say that you don't consider yourself to be significantly weak in any area, because the workplace is a daily challenge and you do your best to face & over come any challenges that may lie ahead.

  2. Just say if by chance you come across a problem, you'll review it with your manager.

  3. Example: “I have had trouble in the past with planning and prioritization. However, I’m now taking steps to correct this. I just started using a pocket planner . . .” then show them your planner and how you are using it.

  4. You can ask them to elaborate on the question - "Where do your concerns lie?  What are problems and areas of weakness people have had that concern you related to this position?"

Then, they may tell you about a concern, and then you can steer the conversation appropriately.  In fact, turning the interview into a conversation is the single best thing you can accomplish at a job interview other than an employment offer.

There is no law against asking an interviewer to elaborate on a question.

  5. This is a trick question, you want to answer it but still make a weakness a strength.  My greatest weakness is I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but now when I catch myself doing that I re-evaluate what is needed from me or the project w/o over analyzing, or sometimes I tend to over extend myself, but now when I see I'm doing that I will reassess what is priority and see what I can change or re-arrange so that I don't over extend myself, or in the past I haven't always asked for help when I needed it, I was worried I would look in competent, now I take the intiative to seek assistance.  Course you want to answer this in your own words, just don't say anything negative, like I have a hard time getting to work time, or co-workers can bother me, just don't say anything like that.

  6. Why not fess up to having limited written communications skills?

  7. say you feel you are strong in many areas and don't feel you have a specific weakness in any area

  8. Just tell them that you have hard time delegating your work because you take pride in your work.  That is a weakness because you focus on something more important while you delegate your work or receive help but it is something that will not hinder your performance.  You can also say you tend to over analyze decisions because you do not want to make careless mistakes.

  9. I think it'd be best to go for a combination of two things; be cocky by saying something like "there isn't really anything in particular, but if I HAD to say anything..." and then list a real minor flaw of yourself. Like maybe you spend TOO much time doing things right on occassion. Or something that lists a positive within the negative. They'll like that you're sure of yourself, but also appreciate that you didn't just take the easy way out by saying you're perfect.
