  1. I remember the old radios  very well....before TV.

They are very desirable & there are loads of sites dedicated to antique radios....buying , selling ,  parts &  repairs.

Might not be worth a million, but would be cautious about selling it without an honest appraisal.

Would never throw it out , esp since it works.

Had a shop & restored a number of  cabinets ( real furniture) for old  floor & table radios.

Wish I had the one from when I was a kid.

I know better, but  I still expect to hear the old programs come out of the speaker.

    Best regards

  2. Go to E bay and you might find one or one similar. You can guage the price from there. Do not throw it out if it is working. Someone will make use of it.

  3. Those old tube radios are very collectible and have enjoyed very high prices in Japan.

If you really want to get rid of it then sell it.

  4. Valve radios are a bit of a collectors hobby, as you will see when you search ebay, they can command ridiculous prices.

Unfortunately the floor standing models are not sought after and often sell for very low prices,

The only reason I can deduce is that they take up too much floor space in the home.

If it works. use it to listen to "radio national" music programmes... the old floor standers sound excellent.
