I HAVE VOLUME TROUBLE...HELP?!?

Okay so i've tried volume products and sometimes they work. After i dry my hair i usually have more volume than usual... but then once i straighten my hair, the volume goes away, no matter how much volume it had after i finished drying it... I'm not sure what else to try... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

i usually just use a root lifter before i dry it because thats what the bottle says to do... and it works great until it comes time to straighten it and then my hair just goes way too flat!

Tease it a bit with a comb and hair spray. Also I'm not sure if this will work because I've never tried it, but you can blowdry your hair up when drying it. That can help the roots get a bit of lift.
