I Had This Dream About Rats... What Does It Mean?...?

So I had this dream that I got into an old abandoned car, and there were thousands of rats. They just came out of no where. They followed me everywhere, and this is silly, but would only go away if i gave them candy. Eventually, I ran out of candy. and i finally went to a mental institution. Its silly, and i normally wouldnt be asking about a dream, becuz i usually do have pretty weird dreams. But my granmother told me something long ago about rats in your dreams... So wut do the rats and everything else symbolize?

well you said that you gave them candy, I I magine it has something to do with your life, Imean, like giving out excuses and you are running out of them, stuff like that can really change things, or maybe people that its arounbd you, gossip ones, you know stuff like that.

There are lots of books out there that talk about symbolization and dreams...they say stuff like:

1.  snakes = long life

2.  wolves = guilt

3.  death = change

4.  tooth loss = parenting issues/relating to children

But I don't put much faith in that kind of symbology.  A wolf, for example, might represent hidden guilt to one person.  But it might represent longing for freedom to another person.  Death might symbolize change to you.....but if I dream about death, maybe its 'cuz I'm afraid someone will die.

Sometimes symbols share a common meaning, but not always.

So, the best person to analyze your dream is either you or someone who knows you well.  But, you can ask yourself some questions to figure it out.  Such as:

1.  What do you think of rats?  (Are they cute to you?  Gross?  Were they annoying you in your dream?)

2.  Is there someone you know who you fear is judging you/thinking your crazy?

3.  Is there a nagging person or issue in your life?

This is easy.  You are surrounded by malicious, quite ill-intentioned women, not men, mind you,  women and you keep sweet-talking them and befriending them for some reason or another, nevertheless, remember, these women are no good.  Steer clear instead of putting on a hospitable face for them.

Many people want stuff from you (lots of rats wanting candy) you are driven crazy by these people (following) so you give them what they want (candy) but soon you don't have it and you feel like everything collapses (mental hospital)

When I was a very young girl, before being married I "dreamed" to marry only with a doctor. no matter if a guy was a good person,if he wasn't a doctor, I always said " No way,he is a disgusting rat".This association is automatically in mind of majority of people when they see rats because a rat is an animal destructive by nature.

Many interpretations are possible about rats in dreams , but  I'll try making my best based on your description. I think it is a dream of warning and in the same time, a dream about your "wake up " Your subconscious mind brings in dream these unpleasant images due to a special circumstances in your real life.
