  1. You have to many male guppies , you should get rid of some or get more females (each male at least 2 females ) because they gonna breed them to dead .

For the male platy you also need more females (at least one more , better would be two more )

Instead of moving the pregnant fish into a breeding net ( it can  stress them out ), I would put plenty of live plants into the tank so they can give birth and the fry can hide. In the morning you can catch the fry and put it to the breeder net..

I would not buy a breeder box because the water circulation is bad , the breeder net is better.

here is  pic from a pregnant guppy (with the blk dot)

  2. Its always better to have more female guppies then males, as they can start fighting over the females, but anyways. I believe their gestation is only 2 or so weeks. The female guppies you can always tell are pregnant by a big black dot on the bottom right behind their bellies. Those are the eggs :) If you want to have anywhere from 20-100 babies per female guppy, then you can buy a breeder cup, which is a floating cup you put into the tank and have a "V" section you put into it. The mama goes into the top, and when she has the babies, they naturally fall through the V and are safe from mama. Take the V out, put mama back into the tank, and wait until the fry look like actual fish instead of potential food.

Otherwise its best to let nature take its course, as a few babies will hide in the gravel, in ornaments, and in plants and thrive til they are big enough.

  3. im not too good on platys but i know A LOT about guppies.   female guppies are pregnant in the first hour of contact of eachother. they will give birth aprox every 28 days. i would move the babies into a smaller tank, im seriously keeping my baby guppies in an 8 ounce bowl and they're doing fine, they're gonna get a little bit bigger and then ill move them into the main tank with the adults. you dont need anything special for the babies, they pretty much roll with anything, after all they were crammed in the womb with all they're brothers and sisters for about a month so they're thankful with basically anything :) good luck oh and by the way your guppy population is going to EXPLODE im talking hundreds of babies in a small amount of time you should probably plan what you're going to do with all the fry (baby fish) good luck!

  4. the males will over work the females(guppies), they are more than likely already pregnant but unless you get a breeder box that saves the babys they will eat them
