I Have Bags Under My Eyes - What Is It?

Obviously sleep situations have crept into my mind but it is begining to worry me a little. I'm prone to anxiety-attacks and I'm on the verge of one I believe. My sleep pattern is totally backwards. I sleep when people are awake and awake when people are asleep. I probably get the average amount of hours for sleeping as the average person and I also smoke quite alot and can't help but feeling the bags under my eyes is a lung cancer symptom. I'm 20 years old and when I'm not in anxiety mode, the thought of lung cancer at my age is absurd but in my current mentality, it feels like a very realistic possibility. My hand's are shaking as I write this. Anybody who has knowledge of the situation would be really doing me a huge, huge favour. Thank you.

  2. I have the exact sleep pattern and I love it. I'm a night person. There are three things that I know of that will cause bags under the eyes, lack of sleep, water retention, or a Vitamin deficiency. One more thing, alcoholic's tend to have bags under their eyes. You just need to figure out which one is causing it for you. I wish for you the very best young man.

  4. Most of it is genetic. I have them to. Just get lots of sleep, and try not be stressed to much. I also have heard that when you cry a lot under eye circles appear darker. Not sure if it's true tho. Also drink plenty of water. Getting a bit of color in your face as well as putting cold spoons under eyes may help. Get ShiSeido Benefiance Revitalizing Cream. I got mine from Macy's and just a tiny dab of it does wonders on dark circles.

    vitamin E oil,olive oil,cucumbers, & a doctor can also help. I have pretty bad ones so this is all from experience.

I get it from stress and lack of sleep.  But, if you're a naturally anxious person anyway, then they are probably no where near as bad as you perceive them to be.  Anxiety can distort your perception of things and create problems where there aren't any.  If you can get to the root causes of your anxieties then you will find your life generally much easier and the bags will disappear, I promise you.   You could seek counselling or look into self hypnosis and hypnotherapy.  I've used hypnotherapy for anxiety related problems and it really works wonders.  All the best!
