  1. Honestly it took time for my teeth to get use to the braces.

Had you tried putting some wax around the brackets cause brackets and the back molars always irritated me.

You can try rinsing with salt water

    if not call your ortho

  2. See your dentist/orthodontist immediately. You don't need to brush that often, twice a day is sufficient so make sure you're just brushing along the gumline, GENTLY. And unless you've contracted some aggressive form of juvenile periodontitis within the past 7 days (unlikely) it could be a reaction you are having to the materials or the way they are bonded to your teeth, so see the orthodontist ASAP.

  3. Brushing three times a day is sufficient, sometimes you could be overdoing it if you're brushing four.  Keep in mind your teeth are moving for the first time and your gums will swell around them as a natural reaction to the shifting.  You may try to use some warm water with salt as well and maybe even some water and peroxide together and this will help reduce the swelling.

  4. when i first got braces my gums swelled and i got sores all through my mouth. your mouth has to adjust to all the metal so swelling is normal. Also the swelling could be caused by your teeth moving, with braces your teeth loosen and then move especially if you have gaps between teeth the gums swell when the gaps are closing
