  1. Don't worry your coaches will tell you what to do.  the most important thing is to try your best and the rest will take care of itself.  You may want to quit early on but stick it out.  Have fun and try Hard

    Good luck

  2. The coaches don't know what to expect either.  They don't know who's coming out or how they'll do.

John Madden had 3 rules for his players.  Be on time.  Pay attention.  Go like h**l when I tell you to.

    Good luck.

  5. I was a high school football coach for a few years, and played high school and football myself, here's a little advice...

    1. Don't be scared, there will be a lot of people in the same shoes as you. Make friends with someone there, or if you're with your own roup of friends make friends with another group. They will be your teammates and homies for life.

    2. Learn, be open to learning, take time to learn and understand the game and a little bit about all the different positions, then you master your position, it may take seasons and years, but as long as you enjoy it, it will come easy.

    3. Work hard, when coach says run, you run. Don't slack off and don't get hurt.

Welcome and enjoy your football experience.

  6. When I first went out for football I hadn't even really watched it before. In practice, during the scrimmages, one of the coaches actually had to show me what a 3-point stance was. I still made varsity my first year (as a junior).

Just pay attention in practice and go hard every play. There's plenty of time to learn the details. You can go a long way toward making the team just by outworking the other players.

  7. dont be a weanie, and if you are go to golf.

  8. Don't fret over it, thats the best thing you can do. I'm sure you're not the only one that's new to football. The coaches will explain, and if you still don't understand don't be afraid to ask them.

    Good luck.

  9. Take your time to learn the basics over the internet!

Practice is called practice for a reason. You learn more about your team, and about the game during practice. Don't be afraid. Just read what you can from that article, and anything else you can find and you'll have a head start.

  10. man up

  11. chicken $hit

    go play chess or monopoly

  12. Just go with the flow, kid.  You won't be the only noobie.  Pay attention and have fun.

  13. If you are going to play football you need to grow a pair. Toughen up. NOTHING to be scared of. Go out there and try your best! Listen to the coaches and play hard!!!!!

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!
