He isn't scared of the dark and he doesn't sleep with a bottle... i dont know what to do anymore... he has been doing this since he was about 9 months. that is when we finally got him his own room but, he has lasways slept in the crib...what should i do?

Afteri clean up i put him back in bed and he crys himself to sleep... this is every night. He crys sooo much it ubsets him and he throws up, i have tried rocking him to sleep he wakes up the instant i put him done and even if he is in a dead sleep and i put him in he stands right up he won't even let me rub his belly he is hanging to the cribs so tight and if i get to close he grabs me and will not let go

  1. You should not be letting your son get so overwrought.  Why is he crying himself to sleep?  He's just a baby!  Parenting doesn't stop at sundown.  Hold him longer when he falls asleep in your arms.

If being alone is that upsetting for him, consider cosleeping.

  2. Sometimes my daughter will make herself throw up when she is upset an not getting her way. Lots of kids do this for attention. If he is not used to sleeping in his own room that most likely whats happening in your case as well. Just dont give in to him and be consistant. Stick to you routine and dont give up! Good luck!

  3. The crying and throwing up thing is common. A lot of times it's for attention. My son used to do the same thing. does he have a blankie or something comforting? Where does he take his naps at? I think you should just be constistent and tough it out with him. Go through your bedtime routine (brush teeth, read a book, lay down) tell him goodnight and walk out. Don't stand at the door. If he throws up, clean it quickly and walk out again. He'll realize that you're not going to give him attention after bedtime and it'll stop. You don't want him sleeping with you years from now too...
