I Have a Book Question?

I have a school project that requires me to read a independent Novel.

What is an Independent novel, and can you please name some books that are independent novels?

Any help is really appreciated!

An independent novel might mean one that isn't part of a series or hasn't been made into a movie. Just a guess.

I'm not positive, but I think the teacher means read on that no one else has chosen and that is not read by other classes.

Umm . . . I think it means do the project on a book that ono one else in the class is doing theirs on. I think, though.
