2) Does this Hub only allow you to use one computer for the internet at a time?

3) If it does what hub to you truly reccommend, one that is not so pricey and huge. NOTE: please list the store and the price range is between 10-30$

  1. 1. No

    2. No

If wired correctly to your modem, that switch will work just fine connecting all the computers hooked to it to the Internet.

  2. A switch is a switch, not a hub.

If there's a router in the system, more than 1 computer will be able to yuse the LAN at once, otherwise only 1 will be able use it - period.

You'll need to purchase a router if you don't have one.  (But your modem may also be a router.)

The hub allows you to connect more than one computer to the LAN at a time - it's a physical device - it has nothing to do with how many computers can *use* the LAN at a time.; that's a router's job.  A good router is the Linksys WRT54GS - it's about $50 - at Wal-Mart or any computer store.
