  1. Its pretty much impossible for a 10 year old dog to have new teeth growing in. Are you sure they are not coming out as in falling out? Dogs tend to lose their teeth as they get older, which is why they need their teeth cleaned and/or pulled just like people. At 10 years old, you should schedule to have your dog a dental done anyway at which time they can examine what you are talking about.

  2. I WOULD TAKE HIM TO A VET TO BE SEEN BUT YOUR DOGS GETTING OLD HES GOING TO LOOSE HIS TEETH THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO JUST KEEP THEM BRUSHED AND TAKE TO A VET FOR CHECK UPS

  3. I have never heard of a dog cutting new teeth at this age.

If his teeth are falling out, then take him to a vet, this is not good, he could have an infection which is rotting the jaw line causing his teeth to come out.

My cairn terrier had this.  Antibiotics following an xray ans a couple of extractions fixed him.  He is also 10.

  4. Puppies have 28 temporary teeth (called puppy teeth or milk teeth) that start coming in at about 4 weeks of age. They generally fall out between 14 and 30 weeks of age and are replaced by 42 adult teeth.

If puppy teeth linger much longer than 30 weeks, take your puppy to the veterinarian. This can cause problems for a dog and these teeth may need to be removed.

I looked this up on longliveyourdog.com... maybe you should get it checked out.  Good luck!

  5. Ahhh, they don't get new teeth at this age no. I would get his teeth checked by a vet because I don't think things are quite how they seem! At his age, it's extremely likely he's losing teeth due to dental disease. If a vet hasn't checked his teeth in the last year - get it done! He's an old dog and regular checks are mucho important.

EDIT: OK, well we can't see the dog's mouth so you need to take him to someone who can. I honestly just cannot believe a dog is getting new teeth at this age. You need to find out what's going on here, and this is not the place for it!
