I Have a Storytone Sound Board Piano, Please help me.?

Hi everyone. I need some HELP. A few years ago my parents gave my husband and I a piano. I was trying to find some info on the piano on line and found some info but not a lot. I pulled the piano away from the wall to see if it had a name on it. It read imprinted in the wood on the back "storytone" and below it " sound board" on the upper left side of the back of the piano it has a number carved in the wood #221923. If anyone know anything about this piano please please let me know. I love to know the history of things that are in my home. smile,sAngie

The storytone sound board was a revolutionary development.  Instead of a single piece of wood, that would crack, splinter and separate (this is what makes many old pianos worth very little), this new soundboard was made of Mahogany laminate (like plywood), which would not crack or separate like the traditional spruce, and also produces a better tone. It was introduced in 1950.  From the serial number your piano was probably made 1953-55.  In the first link see Story and Clark, near the bottom:
