I Have a tax lein and now idea where it came from or what it means?

on my credit report no idea what it is says only court numbers and has a bankrupty # never filed bankruptcy how do i find out how put it on there and y

Challenge the item with the Credit Reporting Agency.  They have to either provide proof of the item or pull it from your record.  CRAs make errors ALL of the time so this isn't anything to be too concerned about just yet.  I challenge an item or 2 on my credit report every year.

Seek more information from the credit reporting agency.  Perhaps this is a mix-up and isn't yours at all.

The credit report should state what agency did it. If it doesn't it will be a state lien from the state where it is filed.
