I Have been having period like pains...?

Just following on from my last question: I gave birth 4 weeks ago stopped bleeding just 1 week after birth today i started to bleed heavy and the blood is mixed with mucus. Well i forgot to add that i have been having period like pains all morning too. Could it be my period? I think i have recovered quite well from the birth, It was only 10 minutes of pushing and i was not in much pain at all.

Sounds like it.  I got my period again 5 weeks after giving birth, although I had bled on and off for those 5 weeks too, just leftover blood from the pregnancy.  If your periods have always been pretty regular, this probably is your lovely AF returning to visit!

it might just be your uterus contracting to try push out all the 'excess'.
