type in google  ' norton remover tool'  theres a download from norton that deletes any of there products.  this will be exactly what you need to remove Norton.

go to the symantec.com and choose what kind of Norton you are using and then move on to the tool removal. it's all there.

*hope that more effective security measure is better than Norton and will not get viruses anymore. anyway, post us back so i will know then after removing the Norton and changing with another. furthermore, use your brains in using the computer!

I could be wrong, but, I seem to remember that the uninstaller programme gets put in the temp folder and as soon as the temp folder is emptied, ..................

You will have to do a search but there is an uninstaller programme out there.

I have Trend Micro-PCillin it is fantastic and it's free to people.  It is mainly for business's but they let regular people download it free.  I got rid of McAfee and Norton.

TO UNISTALL NORTON IS:

1.GO TO START MENU

2.GO TO CONTROL PANEL

3.GO TO ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS

4.THEY WOULD LOAD A LIST OF PROGRAMS.

5.FIND NORTON IN THE LIST CLICK ON IT

6.YOU WOULD SEE CHANGE OR REMOVE

7.PRESS REMOVE AND THE PROGRAM WILL BE FULLY UNISTALL FROM YOUR SYSTEM.

Go to: My Computer>Hard Disk>Program Files>Norton. Delete the Norton folder and don't worry if it can't delete all of it. Download an antivirus (McAfee is best but to pay, Avast! is free and quite good) and make it work. To delete any files which you couldn't delete, rename it as the following example (and then re-delete): mc837.dll -> mc837_.dll
