I got in in 5th grade. I had my period a couple times in 6th grade. But over the summer my period just stopped! And its very irregular. I mean, I get the discharge, like every week, but why am I not getting my actual period?

  1. It seems like you're very new to your period. Time for a little health class.

When you first get your period, for the first two to three years, your period is going to be absolutely insane. Your body is sorting out, and dealing with a FLOOD of new hormones that it has never dealt with before. Your body is working overtime to get these things sorted out and leveled out.

You may experience a lack of a period for quite a while, but it shouldn't last any longer than three to four months. If it does, immediately consult a doctor, as you may have something wrong. It could be something simple like a virus or an infection (They don't have to hurt for you to have an infection!) or something serious like a form of cancer or a tumor.

Give it one more month, and if you don't get it, go to the doctor. Even if you get your spotty discharge, go to the doctor unless it turns into a full fledged period.

  2. This happens sometimes for all sorts of reasons. Talk to your Mum, or another close adult, aunty maybe? They could take you to your doctor.

  3. every girl is different it's normal to have irregular periods when you've only had it a few times. my friends period lasts for 5 months. so don't worry

  5. A period is a sign your body healthy are you eating healthy? Plus when you first get your period it takes a few extra months to get use to being healthy.

  6. the few couple of months you have your period.. it will jump around

from 1 month to maybe 5 months to maybe a year

give it some times to adjust to 28 days

  7. Your a teen ager or close to it.

You period wont EVER be the same UNTIL your out of puberty.

Your period will come back, trust me.

    You are perfectly fine.

When your body is done changing, then your period will stop changing.

    No worries.

My period was at the end of the months, then it would stop for a month then it started at the beginning of the months.

And now im waiting for it, because its around that time.

    Good luck,

    xx.
