I... Just Froze. Help me out here.?

Question

I failed,

I've been wanting to tell my boyfriend that I love him,

We've almost been together a year, our one year is in two weeks!

( We were very good friends for about 4 years and then turned into a relationship )

I've been in love with him for a few months now, like MADLY in love, and I'm getting restless wanting to tell him.

i tried to tell him the other night, and just froze.

I said something along the line's of : "it's hard to say "

and he of course asked what...

I froze again, and just told him " Just know that you're perfect "

He told me " far From" and i went on telling him that I was serious...

I didnt get a response, we were laying in bed.

How do I know when it's the right time?

When I won't freeze up.. It's gonna burst inside me, I really want to tell him.

How can I make sure its not awkward?

I know it's like the little 13 year old questions, but me and my boyfriend are both in our 20's.

Please help!

I know it's something you want to get off of your chest, but rest assured - the fact that you told him you thought he was perfect, also expressed your feelings.  So even though you didn't say the exact words "I love you" - he already knows it.  Really, it's just a formality; don't worry so much about it, and you'll get around to saying it and it won't be so hard to do.

awwww....this is a cute question. but i think he kind of gave you a sign that it's the wrong time if the first thing he said was 'far from it'. i think he had an idea that you wanted to get serious...but kind of avoided it by saying that. you will know because it will be easier. like if you say "you're amaizing...he will naturally come back and return the compliment and allow you to further open up". i COULD be wrong...but this is my interpretation of your situation.

After nearly a year and the fact you told him he was perfect...Im sure he knows you love him. Its just that you havent said it. Would he really still be with you after a year if he didnt love you? Tell him at your one year. Go out for a meal or something, or back to where you went on your first date. Then at the end of the night, tell him you love him and seal it with a kiss. Sounds a bit movie idealic, but it'll work, trust me =]

Make sure you have plenty of time and nothing is going to interupt you. You can take it in small pieces too, you don't have to say it all at once.

Practice saying it in front of the mirror and when your ready ... then, your ready.

Love wow, it might just be me but I tend to stay away from it..I have things in my life I want to complete b4 I bring someone else in...In your case when your 1 year comes..simply say "I love you"
