  1. People have been predicting the end of the world since the creation of the world.  Who knows?  What can you do about it?  Just live life to the fullest.

  2. It's based upon the Mayan calendar that does not claim the end of time will be on that date.

It says there are periods of time and it predicts that the end of one of those periods is coming. Which could mean what? It means the planets will come around and align like it does only every so many centuries. Those that truly study the Mayan calendar understands this, it's about astrology, not the world coming to an end. But some saw a way of making money and they decided to use it! I can write a book and tell people how the world is coming to an end.

Since the beginning of time, human's have been screaming that the world will end. Do you remember the huge scare of 2000? Oh... people KNEW that was finally the date the world was ending. Some were convinced the world was ending when a comet was coming through. Every time there is war and famine (which is always) people claim it's the end of times. There was a man who "broke the bible code" back in teh 1800's and knew the exact date, time and moment when the world would end. People waited and waited. We are still here.

You can read by Revolations (in most bibles) that they were thinking about this over 2000 years ago! There have been predictions found from teh 1200's that showed all to believe the date of ending was upon them! They had many sources that said WHY that date was right. But they never were.

The people who are using the Mayan calendar are making tons of money off of it right now! So they are getting what they want. Yet, those people are putting much of the money into savings... hmm... if they really thought we were gonners in 4 years, don't you think they'd spend every dime they had over the next 4 years and not put a thing into savings?? Why would they buy cars and houses to live in? Why not go rent these items, spend less there and go spend money on things they'd like to do, like travel?? Because they dont' really believe the c**p they are selling to make money!

  3. Every few years there is some theory about the end of the world....  Usually it is a misinterpretation of some prediction based upon Biblical, Astrological, calendar, or historical cycles.

    Remember Y2K?

For the next several years we will have doomday fans and fanatics hyping this one up.  I don't know enough about this one to offer a more intelligent dicussion about it, but even if I did, I don't think I'd spend time worrying about it.

Worry just steals the joy from the current moment.

    Be well.

  4. I saw it too and got freaked. Calm down. Just live life fuller so you have less regrets. Strengthening your religious faith also helps a lot. And eventually it'll just go to the back of your mind and not bother you. If it happens... you won't care if you lived life right. Oh well, what can be done? Ya know what I'm saying?

  5. The Mayans were real interesting people. Some of their predictions are astonishing amazing. So was Nostradamus. I don't know about you but there is nothing we can do about it. Nobody knows what will really happen to us, but one thing for sure we are killing mother Earth and accelerating its ozone (earthquakes, fires, floods, tsunamis, hurricanes and global warming!)

  6. Lol dude thts crazy!! i jus watched it too i posted a question about the exact same thing. But yea i kinda believe it. So many ppl predicting the same date. Its weird wouldnt you think?
