I Just got my MBZ S500?

Question

it's a 2000 and I have no idea where the CD player is there is the slot under the lcd but the navi cd is in there and the doesn't read audio cd's, and when I press the CD button it says magazine empty and I don't know where the magazine is?

Try the trunk.

The CD player was a dealer installed option ( the CD button on the COMAND unit has a CD button as part of factory original equipment ).  If you do have a CD player, it is located in the trunk.  It is a 6-disc player which uses a magazine cartridge to house the discs.  Since the system is saying "no magazine" as opposed to "no cd", it does sound like there is a player in your new Benz.

You're right about the COMAND by the way, it is only for navigation and will not play audio CD's.
