  1. 1st- It means that the government is not always making good decisions

2nd- This is probably referring to racism in the states probably back then, possible currently

3rd- This probably means that courage is not only a person who isn't afraid of anything, but a person who knows what to fear

    Make sense? Hope this helped!

  2. 1 st. Quote:  This basically means that while you may be what some call a good & honest person, you are not really putting any effort into helping the larger group of people to succeed in an effort, hence can be seen as a negative enfluence.

2.nd. Quote: Much like King Author's Round Table, no one man is above th law, and all are seen as equal when it cmes to facing justice.

3 rd. Quote: There is a time to be afraid, but there is also a time to be brave and face fear head on, or as some say, pick your fights wisely.

  3. Sometimes a good man has to follow his conscience and go against whatever society/ the government has decided (and therefore would not be considered a good citizen). The civil rights movement or the Vietnam War protests in the U.S. would be an example of civil disobedience.

There is little stability in a society (state) where there are huge divisions of "equality" between groups of people. That creates a real breeding ground for revolution. (Look what happened to the tzars in Russia! Or nobility in France; heads really rolled!)

Facing your fears takes a tremendous amount of courage. You need to be brave to examine and identify those things which scare you. (Who said "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself"?)

(Women fighting around the world for the right to vote is an example of all three quotes.)
