i too have moved from british gas to southern electric,for gas and electric and boy have i noticed a difference.and when you call them ,you are actually talking to a real person within 5mins,as opposed to about 1/2 hour plus with b-gas.

Have just myself 'switched' from EDF (for both) to Southern Electric - I think I have a good 'deal' - but try them out for yourself or compare it 'on-line' on "Uswitch.com".
