I LOVE black gospel music!! Where do I learn those beautiful chord progressions?

Black gospel music and R & B music has some of the most amazing chord progressions....similar to jazz chords. I'm a pianist and I'm looking for some kind of a chord progression chart that will teach me how to make those colourful chord progressions and transitions. I visited a church in Brooklyn, NY and the organist was out of this world! The sounds flowed out of this man like DNA! Thanks!
