his like my familys friend. i see himm at special occasions like birthdays, easter , christmas.. things like that.. and his like a proper gentlemen he knows how to treat girls his really politee andd really good looking.. we talk to eachother on IM sometimes. i think i act too keen like im alwyas the one to say hi and i feel stupid.. like what should i doo wif himm how should i talk to him and the next tym i see him what should i do act wear ... i kno i should be myselff buttt..........

I hate feeling like you are pastering people. If you don't paster them you will see what they think of you. Most guys wont go FOREVER without messaging a girl they are interested in. Don't freak if he doesn't by the way.

Just relax and be yourself! When I was in high school, there was a guy I really liked and I acted "too keen", as you say, and eventually he got the hint and we started dating. But I was so worried about being what he wanted me to be that I was too scared to be myself. It got to where it wasn't very fun to be with him anymore because I was always nervous and worried about doing something wrong. We ended up breaking up. You should never date someone who you can't be yourself around, because it won't make you happy and it's unfair to the guy, too. You want someone who will love you for you, not just who you're pretending to be. A few years after that boy and I broke up, we got back together, and this time I was determined to be me and just me, no matter what he thought. To make a long story short, I'm marrying that same boy in November. :)   He loved me more when I was myself than he did when I was being somebody else to please him before.

I don't know how old you are, but I'll bet you're still young. You've got plenty of time ahead of you for boys. Just be yourself and don't compromise for anyone. When you find someone you feel comfortable with and who can love you for all you are and never expect you to change, you'll know you've found the one.
