  1. you dont pay duty canada and usa are duty free but you will pay state tax and canadain tax including gst

  2. Duty FREE ?????????

    WHAT!!!

DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT

  3. There won't be any duty on less than $100.00

  4. I believe you would just pay the GST and PST for your province on those.  Canada post will hold it till you go to the post office and pay.

  5. I have ordered things from the U.S. and it all depends where the article was made, the cost is also a factor. If your jackets for dogs were made in the U.S. you could only pay taxes, no duty. If your order was under $20 Canadian dollars no duty or taxes. Also I only ship United States postal service as UPS and others will charge a minimum fee of $20 if not more to cover duty and taxes. Canada Post charges a flat $5 rate to collect taxes and duty.

Duty is a minimum of 7%, again this all depends on what it is. It could be up to 20%.

I've only paid taxes and duty once so far.

You could luck out and pay nothing more than the cost of your jackets and shipping.

If you want to be sure you can call Canada customs Service in English:
