  1. you get put in jail, and have to be released on bail IF the judge decides to let you out. you have to have a really good excuse for them to let you out.

    id contact them immediately.

  2. do what Amy S said!

  3. You better turn yourself in. You have just shown the Court you are not a responsible person. They will have no choice but to put the child into custody. From the sound of it , the child MAY be better off.

  4. you'll most likely have a warrant put out for failure to appear. google casenet and your state and see if there is a way to search your name for warrants. and find out your bond. You can get a bondsman and go turn yourself in pay the bond and get out, or if its not that big of a bond go down there and just pay it. But call ahead first and see what they say.

  5. Amy S. gave you good advice.  Get yourself a lawyer now, have them make an appearance for you immediately and you will probably avoid going to jail.

  6. Amy S. is correct.  I'm a Florida attorney.  The only thing I would add is to make sure you have someone to watch your child who has powers of attorney when you turn yourself in.  You want to ensure your child does not get put into protective services if you can.  That adds a whole new level to your problems.

  7. What ever is going to happen to you, it will be A LOT worse if you make them come and get you.  You should call the D.A.'s office and ask them the best way to turn yourself in.  I would say expect to spend the night in jail though.

  8. FTA.  There is a bench warrant now for your arrest.

  9. Find someone to look after your kid for a little while and then get a lawyer to  get you a court date. And come up with a d**n GOOD excuse as to why you weren't in court. Flat tire, family emergency, etc!!!!!! There are ways manipulate the legal system just use ya head and DONT drink and drive again >:(!

  10. You should have thought of your son first.

  11. Contact the court appointed lawyer you got when you were first arraigned.

  12. There will ba a warrant issued for your arrest. Don't get pulled over or you'll go to jail.

  13. well I am only an attorney in Texas, so I don't know about where you are but no do not turn yourself in. Find an attorney at any cost in the phone book, on TV ect.....in most states an attorney can post a bond and re-set your court date for you. If you turn yourself in you may have a warrant and end up in jail with no one to watch your child. So call an attorney quickly.
