if you are flying over to another country in your hand luggage is it that you are allowed 1 item as 100ml or your whole bag has to add up to 100 ml.

  1. Each item as 100ml, and they all need to fit into 1 plastic bag.

  3. each item as 100ml and must all fit in 1 plastic or see-through bag (such as a clear pouch for example)...the 100ml includes purfume or cologne that you may be taking! I learnt that one the hard way!

  4. You can carry 1 litre of liquids in your hand luggage.  But each item has to be 100ml or smaller.  So you can take 10x 100ml containers.  You have to put them into see-through plastic bags (the airport will give you these).  Remember that mascara & other cosmetics do count as liquids (but not lipstick).  They won't let you take any bottled water through security.  

    Don't forget that once you are through security you can buy whatever you like from the duty free shops before boarding the plane, so you can buy your water, or makeup or whatever you like - no limits.
