hi im twelve and i have a yeast infection. I have tried three different pills and three different creams. on the first time i did the cream i couldnt find where to put it so i just put it around it. On the second time I found where to put it and i did a 3 day treatment instead of a 7 day and the buttery stuff kept on falling out. the third time i stopped halfway threw it and started putting it outside because the doctor said. It still hasnt stopped and the burning feeling is hurting a lot. i havent started my period. I am also getting a creamy colored mucus. i learned online that drinking buttermilk should help. and lots of yogurt. i know its a yeast infection because the doctor took a swab test and put it under a mycroscope and said he saw lots of yeast. its also really red down there. i have had this for two months and it still hasnt gone. i really need help. please respond.

  1. You need to continue the treatment for the whole time, you can't stop half way through.  If you are having trouble with the treatment falling out, be sure you wear underwear or a pad.  Doing the treatment just before going to bed is usually easier.

Eating yogurt will help but it will not cure it.

If you are still having trouble after a whole treatment, you need to go back to the doctor.  You may need an antibiotic.

Edit:  Watch what you are eating, too much bread can cause a problem and too much sugar can cause yeast infections too.

  2. You need to go BACK to your doctor if it's been going on for two months!

  3. it may be the type of laundry detergent your mom uses or the type of underwear your wearing. stop with the yogurt and buttermilk try water and %100 cranberry juice. did the dr prescribe you a pill? if you try over the counter meds again try doing the inserts at nite that way they don't come out and when you take a bath no soap just warm water and try putting a lil baking soda in the tub if you take a bath instead of a shower. and it could also be cause your getting ready to start your period soon. either way after a month the dr should be able to do something for you just don't rub or scratch no matter how bad it gets. hope you feel better that's the pits

  4. I think you should call the doctor.  Two months is a long time.  It could be that you're not inserting the capsule far enough. ( Maybe you could talk to your mom about how to do it right.)  Or It could be that you have bacterial vaginosis (maybe in addition to yeast).

Instead of buttermilk, I'd go with yogurt.  Yogurt has live cultures, buttermilk probably does not.  The good bacteria in there can help your internal bacterial imbalance.

  5. Go to hospitail and make it quick, talk to an adult you trust and try a diffrent cream. And you might have a UTI and not a yeast infection

  6. ask your doctor for some pills that cure the itchy ness/burning, or creams.

if your uncomfy talking about all this to your doctor ask for a woman nurse. he probably gets that a lot.

ask them for stronger or a diffrent typee of medication.

ask them to check and make sure thats the only infection you have.

there a store bought applictors that put this little tiny eggshaped thing in you and does a three-seven day treatments.

    but ask your doctor first.

I had one but it wasnt so bad,

it went away after a week.

you could have also a bladder infection.

    does it burn to pee?

does it feel like you have to pee so so bad, but really you dont?

tell your docotor that if you do and he should give these tiny pills that make your pee yellow/orange and work in about ten minutes.
