Question

I need help on how to begin to write my screenplay. I'll be moving to LA soon but do not want to go there "empty-handed." Any books, websites or any info on the subject matter would help. I've started writing it but i dont think its in the proper format. Even info on agents and photographers would help!!!Thanks

Start here.  This will tell you about storylines and format and other things you need to know.

Write a short film; cast it with your friends; record it on a digicam; post it on You Tube and see what kind of response you get. Obviously make it character-driven so you don`t need a lot for scenes and effects.

This will build your platform (being someone in the biz even if it is independently and very low budget for now) until you really get your feature film script written. That will also get more attention from agents.

If you post a film and it gets lots of negative response or lukewarm then you know it is time to go back to the drawing board and come up with something better based on what you learned the first time.

Honestly since you apparently have not been to film school I think this is the best way to have a self-directed film school. Get a halfway decent digicam with video. Make short films. Post them on You Tube. Gauge the response. Repeat. You will find yourself improving and adding new nuances to your films.
