I NEED HELP NOW I MIGHT BE GOING TO JAIL

Question

I HAD A INCIDENT WITH MY EX BF AND I BROKE A COUPLE OF SCREENS IN HIS HOUSE AND WROTE STUFF ON HIS WALLS OF HIS HOUSEBUT REALLY IS HIS MOMS HOUSE BUT ONLY AFTER HE PULLED A KNIFE OUT ON ME AND POURED HOT BOILING WATER ON MY SKIN FOR COMING UP TO HIM AND ASKING HIM WHY HE WAS TRYING TO STARTS FIGHTS WITH ME AND OTHER GIRLS IM 16 Y.O. AND I NEVER BEEN ARRESTED IN MY LIFE. AFTER I TRASHED HIS/MOMS HOUSE I POLICE OFFICER CAME TO ME SAYING THAT I NEED TO GO TO COURT AND THAT IM GOING TO BE ARRESTED BUT SINCE THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME ANYTHING LIKE THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME HE SAID IT WILL ONLY BE A MISDEMEANOR...I HAVE TO GO TO THE JAIL PRECIENT TOMMORROW AT 9:30AM ....HE SAID I WILL HAVE BAIL WHEN I GO TO COURT AND I NEED HELP JUST NEEDING SUM1 TO EXPLAIN WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN WHEN I GET THERE AND HOW MUCH SHOULD BAIL BE FOR ME???....TIHINGS I CAN DO TO HELP MY SIDE OUT???.....PLEASE HELP ME

most likely you will get probation or house arrest or something. And don't be afraid to tell them everythign your ex did 2 you 2! When you go to court just act calmly and radically and answer everyone of the judges questions. And if that doesn't work and you do go to jail just remember if you be good and everything they may let you out early. And Jail aint that bad... you get 2 watch TV sumtimes too! and if you are in the level one jail (there are 3 levels depending on the badness of your crime) you might even be able to go outside sometimes.

You screwed up big time. Nothing you say will be valid in court because it's all hear say. Plead guilty. Thats the best advice anyone can give you.

You will most likely get probation.....after you are 18, it won't be on your record anymore.  I would advise you to handle your problems better from now on.  After 18, and sometimes before (depending on the offense) it will stay with you for the rest of your life, which will effect you in more ways than one.  You don't want to put on every job application that you already have a record.  Start choosing your friends more carefully.  Good luck.

Don't say a word, get a lawyer and go with an adult, who will support your right to remain silent.

Let the lawyer speak for you.

If you can't afford one and are charges with some offense, ask the court to appoint a lawyer for you. Actually have the adult ask the court. You should just sit there shut up and act respectful.

Wow, yeah you are probably going to the big house.  Try to learn to curb your appetite now.  you really don't want to eat the food in there I hear.  Just hope you get a cute security guard or two.  Are you a big girl?  Big girls get to take wives, and smaller ones get to be wives.  wow, next time maybe you should consider your actions before you act.  remember when you finally get back home to your mom's trailer, you should concentrate on getting your GED and going on to college.

Breaking screens and writing on walls is not self defense, so you can forget about that argument.

At 16, you will probably be released to a parent, I doubt they will lock you up. Plan on paying restitution for the damage, getting probation, and possibly an ankle bracelet to keep you under house arrest.

Don't go.  Seriously, the time to arrest you was when the cop spoke to you.  I have never heard of a cop saying "please come to court tomorrow so that we can arrest you."

They probably just want to question you.  Get a lawyer.

odds are you will get probation and have to pay for the damage.  there really is nothing you can do to get out of it. complete whatever type of probation they give you because if you have no other problems with the law when you turn 18 will be taken off your record.
