I NEED HELP RESETTING AN iPOD!?

Question

So my friend gave me an ipod and i wanna know how to erase everything and reset it back to the way it comes( no songs on it or videos or nothin. I just want it blank) WITHOUT connecting to my cpu.

HELP ASAP!!

plug it in hit restore or hook it up to a new blank itunes library and sync it it will then be blank  that's the easiest way
