I'm asking this for a friend just to get other people's opinions.

She went to get gas today and said she wanted to pay $40 in cash and $30 on her credit card, well when she went to pay the guy said 'sorry I accidentally charged it all to your credit card' and gave her the $40 back in cash. So she left but called her credit card company Twice and they said no, only $30 was charged, her boyfriend told her to keep it, everyone at work told her to keep it but she is afraid they will re charge it or SOMETHING bad will happen, like karma. Would you keep it or take it back to him??

  1. Well, having worked at a large gas station, i can tell you that we didn't go back and charge a credit card if we charged them the wrong amount before. In fact, there was no way to go back and charge something to a card without swiping it or typing in the information. So I wouldn't mess with it, since it's the gas station's mistake, not hers. Now, for the karma thing... well if you take the money back, that would be doing a good deed. no good deed goes unpunished. that's my slogan...
