I NEED Help!! Please! I need a Birthday Present for my Dad?

Question

Heres my dilema. My father and I are not very close he has abused me physically and emotionally as a child ( I am over it). I am 30 now and have chose to not live in the past. We are not that close now but do talk on the phone at least once a week. I dont know him very well so I dont know what to get him and he is going to 75 so its a milestone. I have 2 children so I would like to get a nice gift from my family to him. He is not sentimental at all! I have thought of getting something engraved for him but I just dont think he would see the sentiment to it. Any suggestions would really really help me.

Also he is having a big to do 75 birthday party so I would be giving him this gift in front of everyone.

Even though he is not sentimental, how could he not like something with 2 pics of your children in it engraved to their Papa or Grandpa along with a gift certificate to his fav restaurant or Sears or Home Depot or Lowes.

How about a gift card that involves a hobby he enjoys or sport he likes?  Or a card that gives him a day spent with you and/or your family that includes meals and some activity...like fishing with a picnic, or something indoors if he would prefer that instead?
