Question:

I NEED TO KNOW THIS TO GET EAGLE SCOUT!!!!

I need to get the required merit badges, and I have all but camping, and I have a nearly finished partial on that. The last requirement is out of date, and I need it signed off still, but I threw out the old requirements and can't find them online. So does anybody know what requirement 7c was on the 2006 version of the camping merit badge requirements? I need to know this before I can get Eagle, and my 18th birthday is in 2 weeks.

Have you been to Philmont Scout Ranch?

I am trying to fill two youth (less then age 21) slots for July 18, 2009.

I have a Philmont Songbook web site.

  4. dude... you're 17 and coming to this website for critical answers?  Didn't the scouts have some sort of "internet merit badge" or something?

Why not go to a library or a major bookstore and see if they have what you need.

  5. Talk to your merit badge counselor about it...

    Good luck.

BTW (and don't tell anyone this)...if you meet all the requirements (like getting this last merit badge) you have 2 months to turn in your Eagle application AFTER your 18th birthday.

  6. The camping merit badge requirements prior to the 2007 changes do not include a 7C.  The requirements for #7 are

Prepare for an overnight campout with your patrol by doing the following:

    a. Make a checklist of personal and patrol gear that will be needed.

b.Pack your own gear and your share of the patrol equipment and food for proper carrying. Show that your pack is right for quickly getting what is needed first, and that it has been assembled properly for comfort, weight, balance, size, and neatness.

This appears to be the same as the current requirements.

    I hope this helps.

    Good Luck!
