  1. there's a diagram in the box, and your not to young to wear them I stated using them at age 14

  2. Sounds like Mom is right.  Use a pad.

  3. Wow, yea your not to young at all. But, You can email me if you want if you dont want me to get into full details here.. But basically:

So you have a tampon, You unwrap it, (be In the bathroom speaking here, and im gunna make this UBBER simplistic, for a total 1st timer for ya k!, so im not bein Crude here or anything)

    - So with tampon in hand, and underwear, all off, in bathroom(lol), Squat a little bit, like on the floor meaning, thas okay, specially for 1st time, So squat a little with legs parallell ya know, like so you snatch is wide open, labia's all (lol), ( Or you can put one foot on the toilet or something, and other on like the counter, whatever you prefer) and take tampon in hand (I'm taking you know which way is up?) find your "hole", and put tampon to it, and push all the way in, just till ya know, like the top applicator top is basically in all the way, or somewhat, then you know there's like the longer tuby stick coming from the applicator top , simply puush that until the stick goes all the way up into the top part of the applicator( You'll feel the tampon going deeper in you know), and it feels comfortable, then merely, pull both out, they'll come right out, just lightly pull on them,  don't worry your tampon wont come out.. Now dispose, Pull panties up, get up off the floor, out of  jenna jameson pose, and your done!! Hope that helped, if need ne more help message me!

  4. you will find a diagram in the box on a leaflet.

tampons are better when the string is already pulled instead of the ones that are not. x

  5. lol i have that problem too i just figured this out (and im 18) so anyway what u need to do is put your left leg up on the toilet and lean back a little bit and then stick it in and also remeber to relax

  6. You're definitely old enough... my younger stepdaughter began using tampons on her second period - about 3 months after her 11th birthday.

The ones with plastic applicators *definitely* make things easier for girls who've never used tampons before... but once you know how, anything that's comfortable to wear will be easy to insert.

Helpful advice (beyond the semi-useless package directions)? Yeah... just three things:

    1) Aim the tampon more towards your back than upwards... your v****a actually goes *back* for more than half of its length, not just up... and make sure it goes in far enough that only a part of the string remains outside your body.

    2) It'll be easier to do the first time if things are slippery "down there", so don't wipe away any blood and stuff until you've got the tampon in place. If there's very little blood there, just smear a couple of drops of saliva on the tip of the tampon (or its applicator if it has one) and it'll make things a lot more comfortable.

    3) Relaxation is important. If relaxing isn't easy for you, try pushing just a little bit as if you're trying to p**p or pee... your pelvic muscles will relax a bit and that will help a *lot*.

There's an OK video instruction about it at

    http://www.beinggirl.com/en_US/goods_tam...

... just click on the "click here" link in the third paragraph of the page.

  7. your right, using pads does make it feel like your peeing,

    lol,

    but yeah,

there should be instructions in the box,

or at least i know there are in the "playtex gentle glide" ones,

    check that out.

there is a diagram too ;)

  8. You are not a moron. I didn't know how to put one in when I was 16. And I think that your mom is a little old fashioned. Tampons are a lot easier when you're a girl. Easier than a wet and horrible pad in your undies. The easiest way to put one in is to either squat with your legs apart in the bathroom or to rest one leg on the toilet. Then take the tampon and holding it between your thumb and index finger slide it straight up and in, and once you get half of the tampon in, push the bottom of the tampon up, so the tip of it is facing towards you inside, after that, push the bottom of the tampon with your finger, sliding the tampon up, until it can't go any further.

Down there, its a little slanted at an angle so to get a tampon to stay in there it has to sit inside at that angle.

  9. i know this sounds gross but use a mirror. . . thats what i had  to do at first

  10. There is a diagram in the box. It shows what you need to do and tells you step by step what to do.

  11. here are some links with written descritptions on how to use one

    http://www.youngwomenshealth.org/tampon....

    http://www.tampax.com/howtouse.php

  12. There are pictures that come with the pamphlet in the box.  Okay, put the cotton end up inside your v****a.  Push the other end up until it meets the the larger applicator section so it's like one tube.  Then pull the string a little bit to put it in the right place.  Good luck.

  13. 1.Sit or stand in a comfortable position. Some women prefer to place one leg on the toilet seat or tub, while others prefer to squat down. After you find a position that is most comfortable for you, hold the tampon with the fingers that you write with. Hold the middle of the tampon, at the spot where the smaller, inner tube inserts into the larger, outer tube. Make sure the string is visible and pointing away from your body.

With your other hand, open the labia (the folds of skin around the vaginal opening) and position the tampon in the vaginal opening.

2.Gently push the tampon into the opening, aiming for the small of your back. Stop when your fingers touch your body and the applicator, or outer tube, is completely inside the v****a.

3.Once the applicator or outer tube is inside of you, use your index finger to push the inner tube (the tube where the removal string is visible) through the outer tube. This pushes the tampon into the v****a.

Once the inner tube is all the way in, use your thumb and middle finger to remove the applicator or outer tube. Make sure that the string hangs outside of the vaginal opening. Later, when you are ready to remove the tampon, hold the string and gently pull it downward until the entire tampon is out.

If the tampon is inserted correctly, you should not feel it. If you feel uncomfortable in any way, you may have inserted the tampon incorrectly or the tampon may not be placed far enough into the v****a. If this happens, just remove the tampon and start again with a new tampon. Remember that practice makes perfect. If you don't get it on the first try, your second try will most likely be successful. Instead of getting frustrated and giving up, relax and try again!

also just a reminder - make sure you pull the string out before you put the tampon in. i forgot once - absolute nightmare!

    good luck!!

  14. First off you need to relax!  Sit down, insert the tampon into your vaginae until you feel a little pressure.  And that is it.  You will get the idea after a few times!   But you have to be relaxed or you will have problems!

  15. its easy theirs a diagram in the box

  16. You won't be able to use them all the time at first anyway so you'll still need a pad.  It takes practice and knowing your own body well to use them properly.  The insert actually does have a diagram.

  17. The tampons come with instructions.  Read them.  However, you should wear a pad and listen to your Mom.

  18. you feel like your peeing when you take a step? that's not normal...

well it takes a while to get used to.

after my third time putting it in... it became natural to me.

the first time i did it... ithink i was fourteen and it took me an hour to find the right place to put it in.

when you but a tampax package they usually have a diagram in there.

ALSO: make sure your put it in ALL the way. the first couple of times i felt uncomfortable, like it was coming out. i found out that i wasn't putting it in all the way. when you put it in it should feel kinda like nothing.

http://tampax.com/howtouse.php  <---how to put it in.

& my mom had a problem with me wearing tampons too. i think she was scared of TSS. but just remember to change it when you need to. don't wait longer than 6 hours just to be safe. i'm 16 now and i've been wearing them for 2 years so you're def. old enough to wear them

  19. There are usually diagrams in the box. Put one foot on the toilet. Find the hole, push the applicator in, then depress the plunger to insert the tampon in.

Try practicing on your hand. Make a hole with your hand and see how easy it is to push it in.

Try to get used to it and wear a pad or panty liner with it. You need to change it ever 2 to 3 hours.

  20. I believe you should ask your mom before you put on one w/out permission. BUT, you can go on Google images and search and you'll find some photos and diagrams on how to insert one. there's also diagrams on the box.////

  21. the best thing is the sheet that comes with the tampon box.  use the "light plastic applicator" they're more comfortable and slide right in.  the sheet explains to you in 1,2,3 steps and even shows pics.  Don't be scared and good luck.

  22. You need to push it towards your lower back when your putting it inside, like towards you butt. You don't push straight it up. when you do that it presses on your bladder. Hope i helped x

  23. I feel that this link might be helpful to you.

    http://www.youngwomenshealth.org/tampon....

Tell your mother that your not satisfied with the protection and feeling of a pad, and you wish to use a tampon when you get your period, and she needs to be there guiding you through this tough and confusing time in your life.

    Good luck.

  24. i know how u feel..are u a virgin? cus if u are it makes it much harder to know where to put it. i recommend to wait until ur no longer a virgin (im not saying to loose ur virginity) but if ur really desperate go here

  25. watch this video (on the website attatched) i think it will help. you should also go online to get advice and help. but personally i think tampons are dangerous, because there are certain risks that you might want to think about. good luck

  26. Did you put the whole thing in?  You do know that you push it all the way in and take the cardboard part out right?  The box has a leaflet inside with a diagram.  Maybe your absorbancy is too much.  Try a regular verses the big ones.

  27. OK. put the tamp. in your thumb & second finger then push the thing in. when it is in take a free finger & continue to push the thing in. then remove the applicator. when you push the thing in it wont be in the applicator any more.  Buy a new box they have directions & you can practice. If you cant get it then probably practice when your period is not on that way you wont get stressed

  28. you have to put it where the p***s goes into your v****a so pretend its that and you should do fine!!!

  29. try useing pads, 40 out of 50 women say its better.

  30. Start with the lightest flow ones you can find, and use the kind that has a plastic applicator.  Then just follow the directions that come in the box.  You want to angle the applicator toward your lower back and slide it in so the whole tampon part of the applicator is inside you (leaving just the plunger part outside).  Then push the plunger.  If it's in right, you won't even feel it.  I wore tampons from my first period; so just keep trying until you get the hang of it.  They are so much better and easier than pads.

  31. read the directions that come in the tampon box. also relax when you put it in
