I NEED help about giving birth?

I'm writing a story about a very beautiful paintress named Jamie. Jamie gave birth to her son at home with midwife Sonia. I NEED help!!. Her son was born: hands & knees, in her bed, kneeling position, squatting, standing up, birthing stool, birthing pool... Indicate me one position, please!!!

  1. Hi, how about in a birthing pool, underwater? Have a look at "water birth" video's on YouTube and research it. Also, female painter's are just called "painter" not paintress.  


  2. All three of my children born at home were born in our bathtub.  One time it was a shallow trailer bathtub that didn't cover as much of my stomach as I would have liked.  The second and third time it was in our deeper-than-average bathtub designed for soaking.

    Two times, I was sitting Indian style or cross-legged, once facing the front of the tub and leaning back so baby came out in front and the other time facing the side and leaning forward so that baby came out behind me.  The third time I was leaning back on my hands with my knees bent up.
