I NEED help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

i have a Sylvania t.v. and a philips universal remote. it says it works with it but it doesnt. HOW DO I GET IT TO WORK!!! the only thing in the book it says to do is to "press and hold the code search button then press t.v and press the channel up button 300 times until it changes your channel." I DID THAT LIKE 4 TIMES!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

look in that the book that came with the remote look for Phillips tec support ah never mind here is the Number (1-888-744-5477)call it and see what they say. If that does not work send it back to the retailer and get a Logitech remote

if you check the book for the remote or the tv there should be a code that you should enter
