I NEED help!! this is my first field hockey stick..... i am a 7th grader !!!

Question

I need to know how to replace the squshy tape on the stop that u hold!! i was told 2 use electrical tape cuz the grip tape stuff was unrolling off!!! So i did!! but only on the bottom! should i put electical tape ALL OVER the gray grip tape or not??? does electrical tape make the field hockey stick hard to hold and slippery?? HELPP!!!!!!!! i neeed all the help i can get!!!!

I wouldn't recommend electrical tape because it is very smooth and slick.  Instead, try using athletic tape.  It has more of a fabric-y texture so it is much easier to grip.  You can put the athletic tape all over your stick grip if you want, but I find that the adhesive on the tape is strong enough that you only need to wrap it around the bottom and top of the grip.

Athletic tape is sold at all sporting goods stores and also at some pharmacy's and department stores.
