Hi there. I’m a 17 year old High School Senior desperately looking for scholarship money to go to college. I have already applied and gotten accepted into University of Nevada. I have applied to more than 20 scholarships and won 1 so far. But I haven’t given up. There is a wonderful website called “collegenet.com” that offers $1000 - $5,000 scholarship money to any high school senior or college student. It’s basically a discussion-based site where candidates post to various forums, which candidates themselves create. If others like what you say, they'll vote for you. If you like what they say, you can vote for them. Casting and receiving votes gives you points–and the candidate with the most points at the end of each month wins the scholarship. And if you are not looking to win a scholarship, then you can check out discussion forums, look at candidates’ profiles, and sign up for a free Voter account to help determine the winner. (cont....)

  1. Sweetie, I think you'd make more money for college if you'd spent all that time working at a part-time job. Even at a modest $5 an hour, 200 hours (or 10 weeks of part-time work) would get you a "scholarship" of $1000. Maybe you could even get your boss to pitch in a little towards your education.

Congratulations on getting into your University, and I wish you much luck in your scholarly pursuits.
