I'm 13, this will be my third time, I'll be using poles and getting a lesson, but while I'm on the slopes, tips like telling me how to stop to T-Bar advice, to anything you can think of won't go unappreciated. Please help!

  1. honestly i really think you shouldn't be taking lessons as a begginer. do it the hard way and go up the hill and crash a few times and learn to parallel from the start. im saying this because they teach u how to do a pizza stop or snow plow which will s***w up your form later on.

    have fun and great skiing

  2. To stop, turn your skiis uphill and keep going, you will stop. To ride a "T" bar, stand up on your skiis, let it pull you up the hill, keep your poles in one hand, have the "T" bar to one side of you, not between your legs, when you reach the top, dismount the  tow by slowly releasing the tow and let the spring take it away from you, then ski away.  To mount it, grab the suspension bar and put it to one side of your legs and let it pull you up the hill. Keep both skiis straight up the hill, and stay in the track.

Keep your pole baskets behind your legs when skiing, use round turns to control your speed. Take a series of lessons from a qualified, professional instructor. Have fun.  If this is your third lesson, why are you just asking about how to stop? You should have learned this on day 1.
