I Need Cheap Braces, my mom wont get them

Question

Ok, im 14 and have many flaws. (Teeth, skin, and hair, mainly.)

I will EVENTUALLY have to get braces cuz my teeth are horrible, but we cant afford them right now cuz we dont have insurance, so, do any of u know any cheap cheap dentists in nj?

Has your dentist told your mother that you need braces now?  Has he referred you to an orthodontist?  If the dentist says you need them, then now is the time.  In that case, you and your mom are going to have to work out the money situation and find a way to pay for them.

But if your dentist has said that this is not yet the appropriate time to do that, start saving up for when it is the appropriate time.  Meanwhile, work on your hair and skin problems, too.

There's no such thing as cheap braces hon.

I would ask your mom if you ask for nothing extra , just the basics, if you can start saving for them.

You may already be doing that though.

Also call MANY places.

I have been told all sorts of high down payments, high monthly payments. Then a friend sent us to another places that sometimes does zero down. So call around!!!! Good luck.

You could get orthodontic treatment through a dental school in NJ. I know of University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, I think. Dental schools usually charge MUCH less than a private orthodontist or general dentist would. The patients that go to dental schools for treatment are uninsured patients that cannot afford privatized care. You will get treatment through dental student(s) but they are all supervised by the professors there. They also might have a private office there where the dental faculty practice.

not really because in nj they are expensive by the way u dont need insurance! i dont and i have braces though my parents are rich. mine cost 5000 my mom asked for the best orthadontist in orlando which was drfravel. and my dads compnay acually decorated the flowers at one of his offices!!!!!! (dr.fravel has two offices) but yeahu could use this site to look:

there are no kind of cheap braces and i live in NC not NJ so do some reserch and compare prices but they won't be cheap. I know my mom is at least paying $300.00 a month and i have to them for at least 3 years!
